DeliveryCustomers must check goods are undamaged before signing for receipt. Damaged goods should be refused and the reason noted on the delivery note. Please contact me to arrange for a replacement. Orders not received: Please contact me as soon as possible by email to sales@thewaterbedman.co.uk or telephone 01430 421940. Shortages: Please report missing items straightaway. Waterbeds: British Waterbed Company manufacture beds to your specification thus delivery usually takes 2-5 weeks. The beds are installed by BWC or myself. On receipt of your deposit an order confirmation will be sent out with an expected date for delivery and installation. Installation of your new waterbed will be arranged on a mutually acceptable date. Mattresses: Mattresses for rigid frame waterbeds and most softside waterbeds are delivered by signed for courier within 1-2 working days. Not all softside waterbeds accept a standard mattress and it may be necessary to make one in which case the lead-time will be a few days longer. Heaters: Heaters are delivered by signed for courier within 1-2 working days. Mattress protectors: Allow 10-14 days for manufacture and delivery. Made to measure bedding: Allow 10-14 days for manufacture and delivery. Conditioner and other accessories: These items are sent by 2nd class post, usually by return of post. Ordering & paymentPlease ensure you check all the relevant details about the products you have selected as these may have changed since you last visited the website. Check the goods are correct for your requirements before ordering. I cannot refund or exchange goods without good reason. Errors such as "I ordered the wrong size/colour" are the sole responsibility of the customer. Your order should include precise details of the items required plus full address, telephone and email details. Extra information may be requested by email to ensure your order is fulfilled correctly. Customers agree to pay the full amount, by cheque or credit/debit card (via secure PayPal website) at the time of order except when ordering a waterbed, when a deposit will be required with the order and the balance two weeks before installation. If you wish to use a credit card to pay for a bed, I will email PayPal invoices for the deposit and balance. My invoice will be despatched with your goods. Credit/debit card customers will receive an immediate automatic confirmation of payment by email. I do not accept card payments by telephone. This is for your protection as I do not see your credit card account number. The shopping basket requires a minimum total transaction value of £10. If you require goods totalling less than £10, please post a cheque, payable to David Edwards Waterbed Specialist, for the amount of the goods plus a £1 contribution towards postage and packing. If paying by credit/debit card, click the 'Click here to pay by credit debit card button' on the shopping basket to be taken to the secure PayPal website. You do not need a PayPal account to complete the transaction. On the left of the screen you will see the question: "Don't have a PayPal account?". Click the continue link to complete the transaction using your credit or debit card. Finally, you are invited to open a PayPal account but need not do so. When paying by cheque click the 'pay by cheque' button. This will provide me with confirmation of the goods you require. Print off your invoice and post with a cheque to the address on the invoice. Please make cheques payable to David Edwards Waterbed Specialist. Goods will be despatched on receipt of your payment subject to the conditions above. Shipping and handling chargesMy prices include delivery within mainland UK.
Exports within the EUI supply replacement mattresses and heaters, waterbed conditioner and other accessories throughout the EU. Please contact me for carriage charges and payment instructions. Payment is required in Sterling. GuaranteesI will repair or replace any defective product during a period of 12 months from the date of original delivery, where the defect is due to faulty manufacture. The customer must return the defective item at their own expense to the address given by me. This guarantee does not affect the Customer's statutory rights. Waterbed, mattress and heater warranties are extended to the original purchaser only. Mattresses: Manufacturers warranty against manufacturing defect for 5 years from the date of purchase (2 years if outside the UK). Note: 'manufacturing defect' means a split in the weld of a seam, and does not cover an incision. Pin holes are not covered by the warranty and should be repaired with the vinyl repair kit supplied with the mattress or waterbed. The warranty shall not apply if the waterbed mattress has been neglected, misused, improperly installed, or damaged by fire, cutting, piercing or tearing. When a mattress has been delivered or stored in cold conditions, it must be left in a warm room for 24 hours before unfolding to avoid cold related cracking of the vinyl. To qualify under the terms of the warranty, the customer must add a 4oz bottle of waterbed conditioner to the mattress every 6 months. Heaters: Manufacturers warranty against manufacturing defect for 2 years from the date of purchase. To qualify under the terms of the warranty the heater must be installed in accordance with the manufacturers instructions. All warranties exclude any form of liability or obligation for loss or damage, direct, indirect or consequential, howsoever caused. A service charge will be made if you require an on-site inspection. Cancellations and returns policyIf a customer cancels an order for goods prior to despatch any payments received will be returned. I regret a refund is not possible in the case of goods specially manufactured to your requirements if manufacture has commenced. Once goods have been shipped the customer will be liable for the cost of returning the goods, unless the goods are faulty. It is the customers responsibility to ensure that returned goods are suitably packaged to avoid damage in transit. Please obtain a receipt from the Post Office or courier service. Please call David Edwards on 01430 421940 for authorisation before returning any goods and mark the package clearly with your details and any reference number. Refunds will not be granted on any item unless returned unused in its original condition and in the original packaging. I regret specially made items are not returnable unless the wrong item has been despatched or it is faulty. General termsThe information contained in this website does not constitute an offer to contract or enter into an agreement. I shall not be obliged to accept an order. I try to ensure that all details and prices displayed on this website are correct and up to date, and that these are correctly calculated by the shopping basket, however, I cannot guarantee that they are. If a pricing error does occur, the order will not be processed and the customer will be notified of the correct price. The initial 'payment received' response to your order should not be taken as confirmation that all prices are correct. Any contracts or agreements shall be governed and construed according to English law and any disputes and proceedings shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of English courts. No statement on this website shall be deemed to affect the statutory rights of a consumer which cannot be excluded or restricted by law.
